Galerie Meyer is pleased to contribute to the exhibition SHAMANS – DIALOGUE WITH THE INVISIBLE with the loan of several major works of art related to shamanism in the Arctic, Precolumbian and Oceanic regions.
The exhibition curated by Mr Christophe Roustan Delatour immerses the visitor in the mysterious and disconcerting universe of shamanism and its amazing practitioners. An emblematic figure of many traditional societies, the shaman is a «soul traveler» capable of interacting with the realm of spirits and the invisible.
Through a selection of more than 150 objects, audiovisual documents and testimonies from all continents, it presents a global panorama of shamanic practices, emphasizing the diversity of cultural contexts associated with them
